Spray Foam Contractor Helps Renovate Coast Guard Station

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - November 14, 2011 - Fortune Insulation & Spray Foam Contractors, Inc. recently contributed to the renovation of a Coast Guard station in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. The century-old building received a substantial makeover, with replacements to all siding and re-roofing.

“It’s the benefits of a brand new building in structure, without having to start from scratch,” said Greg Blake, owner of Fortune Insulation.

The station previously had no insulation whatsoever, a major deficit considering its location on the coast and vulnerability to wind and moisture. Foam will not only help to thermally insulate the building, but will also protect it from these elements for years to come.

A team of two from Fortune Insulation applied a pour-in-place injection foam to the exterior wall cavities. Fortune opted to use Demilec’s SEALECTION Agribalance foam. The project took about three weeks to complete.

“We took a 100-year-old building and brought it up to modern building standards,” said Blake.

Blake has been in the insulation business for nearly 25 years, and in the spray foam industry for the past four.

Blake said Fortune added spray foam to its roster of services after receiving numerous phone calls from potential customers asking about the product.

The Coast Guard job was completed within spitting distance of SprayFoam.com’s headquarters in New Jersey, and we were on hand to capture some great images of the project. Look out for coverage on this week’s edition of Foam Week TV.
