                            Spraying a walk in cooler
Hello Mason, (and other savy spray masters) A new business partner and myself need to insulate a sea-container we would like to convert into a walk in cooler to store delicious craft beer. Do you have suggestions on the concept generally? And do you have a recommended type (open cell-closed cell) of spray foam one would install? cheers! |
| mason Posted: Oct 08, 2007 02:18 PM | I have sprayed hundreds of those type of containers with closed cell foam. Works great, depending how cold the container is to be maintained, I would spray 3-5 inches of 2 lb foam and cover it with a spray or trowel applied thermal barrier. You can download SPFA document AY 110 Cold Storage Guidelines from their website, sprayfoam.org for more details on cold storage details and information. |
