                            sewer pipe through wall
Will spray foam work for a leak that I have in my basement wall? Basically we got 5 inches of rain recently and where my pvc sewer pipe exits through the concrete wall, in the basement, water was pouring in. The pvc pipe goes thought the wall in a corrugated pipe sleeve and the grout that was used broke away. |

While it can slow or stop a leak, hydrostatic pressure may build up crushing the foam cells. Better to seal the leak with a urethane type caulking or asphalt waterproofing materials. Foam can be used to fill the space so long as it is not the main waterproofing material. |
