                            Rooftop ductwork
I want to sprayfoam ductwork for a rooftop HVAC system. I want to use closed cell spray foam and coat it with Bayseal Bayblock II acrylic coating. According to the International Mechanical Code, all ductwork must have a flame spread index of <25 and a smoke developed index of <50. Does anyone have any experience with spray foam insulation on ductwork? Can a fire lock product be applied in conjunction with the Bayblock II coating to achieve the lower fire protection numbers needed? |
