Retrofitting Houses
Has anybody turned an existing house into a closed attic assembly? How did you do this? I have heard about enclosing the furnace in a "mechanical room" and venting that and then sealing off the attic. Also, would it work just to insulate the roofdeck and leave the attic vented?

Done a lot of new houses. An existing house would be similar. They would probably wish to add an ERV to provide ventilation. Roof or floor is fine, either one. |
