United Subcontractors Incorporated (USI) Appoints New President and CEO

ST. PAUL, MN–Aug. 28, 2012–United Subcontractors Incorporated (USI) is pleased to announce that L.W. Varner, Jr. joined the company July 30^th, 2012 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Varner will also serve as a member of the Company's board of directors.

With more than 30 years of success in leading a variety of businesses in both the manufacturing and service sectors, Bill Varner brings a hands-on approach to developing strong teams, accelerating growth and profitability, while enhancing service quality.

Most recently, Varner led the Aquilex Corporation, a private equity backed global energy services business. Under his direction, the company grew revenues by fivefold and achieved record earnings.

Prior to Aquilex, Bill served as President for several global businesses in various industries orchestrating their growth in new markets through expansion of service and product offerings.
