The Summer Issue of Spray Foam Magazine Features Spray Foam vs. Severe Weather
JUPITER, FL – May 31, 2019 – Is there a better way to keep your home cool during the sizzling summer months than with spray foam insulation? Spray Foam Magazine’s Summer 2019 edition stars Tamara Day of HGTV’s Bargain Mansions. Like a breath of fresh air during the heat of the summer sun, Tamara breathes new life into old mansions with her knowledge of construction and design. She often uses spray foam as her choice insulation for its energy-efficient benefits, as well as its ability to be able to fit in many of the old building nooks and crannies.
The issue highlights the use of spray foam insulation in severe weather situations. Spray Foam Magazine investigates an SPF application after a big flood, its ability to protect a homes against flood damage, and how closed-cell spray foam may just keep the roof on during a severe storm.
Additionally, interviewing the president of SWD Urethane, Jim Perkins, was an inspiring experience. Not only was he raised in the spray foam industry, but he is now looking for ways new technology can help expand spray foam into the next generation. And finally in a salute to Canadian veterans, we look at some much needed tiny homes being constructed for the returning heroes and how spray foam is helping out.
