SPFA Launches Online SPF Assistant Exam Prep Course
FAIRFAX, VA – November 28, 2014 – The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) recently made it easier to prepare for SPF Assistant certification through the launch of an online exam prep course. Since its inception, SPFA's PCP program has been providing the quintessential know-how to begin, grow, and succeed in the spray polyurethane foam industry and the SPF Assistant Certification is the first step of that process.
The SPF Assistant is the first level of the PCP program which is followed by SPF Installer, SPF Master Installer, and SPF Project Manager.
The SPF Assistant certification is specifically designed for those assisting in the installation of spray polyurethane foam in thermal insulation installations. SPF Assistant duties may include assisting in equipment and job set-up, substrate preparation, material handling and staging, moving of hoses/scaffolding/ladders, masking, trimming, clean-up, and other non-spraying tasks.
The online SPF Assistant certification prep package consists of an 8-hour course that is provided by a video instructor via e-Learning modules. However, the "student" has complete freedom to learn and review the material at their own pace since the he or she has 24/7 access throughout a 90-day time span. Additionally, the package includes a digitally-formatted study guide and practice exam questions for optimal preparation.
Throughout the preparation course, the student is educated on the basic knowledge of spray polyurethane foam, SPF chemical health andy safety, job site health and safety, and overall general health and safety. The course is now available for SPFA and non-SPFA members.
