PolyCraft Germany Announces Release of New Heated Hoses for Small Applications
RODGAU, GERMANY - July 2, 2013 - PolyCraft Germany proudly announces the release of a new product line of heated hoses to facilitate smaller applications of spray polyurethane foam and polyurea.
The heated hose line implements a direct heating system, which is the quickest and most accurate system way for hose heating yet.
In the new direct heating system, the A and B (Iso-side and resin-side) hoses have heating wires which are connected to a digital controller that separately plugs into a regular outlet.
Klaus Bücking, CEO of PolyCraft Germany says, "the use of digital controller enables the SPF or polyurea applicator to better control the temperature of the hoses because it gives precise temperature readings while keeping constant heat inside the hose, which works much better than a recirculating system."
By using the direct heating system with the digital controller, the new hose line eliminates the need for both electric transformers used in bigger machines and jobs and for recirculation altogether.
"Recirculation can cause interruptions during a job because the process provides insufficient heat at times," says Bücking. "Instead of having to wait to recirculate again, direct heating with the digital controller keeps hoses heated constantly, which saves time and money."
The heated hoses, which come in 33-foot (10 meters) and 50-foot sizes (15 meters), have to be connected to 110V and 230V outlets respectively in order to have continuous and accurate heat flow. The hoses take only a few minutes to heat up with the direct heating system, whereas with recirculation, the hoses take much longer to heat up. The hoses are designed specifically for smaller proportioner units with small outputs such as the Graco E-10, Graco E-8p, Gama Easyspray and other DIY equipment.
"These smaller hoses are meant to be used in smaller applications such as bedliners, trucks, boats, and trailers, parts and prep work" says Bücking. "The 50 ft. hoses would be used in field applications such as point fill, rim joist, retrofit work, crawl spaces and other small jobs."

About Polycraft Germany: POLYCRAFT was established in January 1989 and is registered in the German Trade Register. As distributer for GUSMER Europe Polycraft was selling Gusmer PUR-Machines, Spare Parts, In-Field-Service and renting of PUR-Machines as well as In-Field applications for PUR-Foams and Elastomers. In the year 2001 an expansion of the company took place by starting to develop, manufacture and selling heatable hoses for plural component equipment. Polycraft offers high quality heated hoses for standard and high pressure units for spray PUR and POLYUREA. The heated-hoses are compatible and easy to hook on any machine such like GRACO®, GUSMER®, GAMA®, GLASCRAFT®, PMC®.
