Intech Equipment and United Subcontractors Partner to Train Spray Foam Applicators

Phoenix, AZ - November 17, 2009 - During the two day applicator training course, the students learned the basics of Spray Foam Equipment and Materials, theory of operation, how the five major components of the system function and work together, and how to troubleshoot.

Material Suppliers were also brought in to present best practices on safety, PPE, MSDS, material handling and application.

As a bonus, Intech Equipment & Supply conducted an SPFA approved course on equipment on Day 1, which counts towards SPFA accreditation.   Day 2 was focused on preventive maintenance.

The fact that USI got all but two applicators to this training event reflects the commitment from management to elevate the quality and standards of it’s applicators and employees.  “We even had some branch managers, production managers and sales people attend, even though it was only mandatory for applicators,” says Dallas Shaw, National Operations Manager – Foam Products, of United Subcontracors, Inc.

“We were very pleased with the participation, and commitment on the part of USI.  The feedback that we received was very positive, and it was nice to get some compliments from applicators that had 35 years experience as well a rookie that started just four days ago”, says Bob Jutras of Intech Equipment.

United Subcontractors is taking steps to be an elite insulation company and this companywide participation in training is an example of that commitment.  “This is just the beginning of our ongoing quality control and preventive maintenance program for our spray foam insulation applicators”, says Dallas Shaw.
