Deadline Approaching for 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C.–August 14, 2012–Deadlines are fast approaching to submit poster abstracts, register for the Polyurethane Professional Development Program and receive discounts on conference registration and hotel reservations. Hosted by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference will take place Sept. 24 to 26 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta.

"We're looking forward to great attendance and dozens of technical sessions at this year's conference," said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. "Attendees can look forward to learning about the latest issues and trends from our industry's leaders, as well as numerous networking opportunities to meet with experts and colleagues."

Poster Abstracts
Poster abstracts for this year's conference must be received by August 22. Showcased over the course of the three-day conference, posters address a variety of issues, including breakthrough technologies in the polyurethane market or chemistry, developing markets such as medical or fiberboard, or advancements in product areas such as rigid foam insulation or coatings. Posters may also highlight environmental and stewardship issues, such as product emissions and end-of-life management. More information about submitting posters is available online.

Polyurethane Professional Development Program (PDP)
Attendees have an opportunity to learn from the industry's top experts during this unmatched education and training opportunity. Course topics include introductory polyurethane chemistry; introductory polyurethane technology and products; markets and applications; sealants, adhesives and binders; elastomers and coatings; processing equipment; raw material testing, specifications and performance; and physical testing of polyurethane foams.

Onsite PDP registration is available, but professionals interested in attending this year's program are encouraged to register for each seminar of interest before August 31 to ensure course availability. To participate in the PDP, participants must register for the conference. PDP tuition is a single payment of $150, which includes course materials, whether attending one or more courses.
