BaySystems™ Introduces Spray Foam Book Resource Guide for Building and Contracting Industry
Las Vegas, May 13, 2009 — To better support builders and contractors, BaySystems™ is introducing the Foam Book, an educational guide that features information about the many advantages of polyurethane spray foam products for wall insulation and roofing applications. The theme is “Sustain Your Business Through Knowledge.” BaySystems™ is the umbrella brand for the global polyurethane systems operations of Bayer MaterialScience.
“We designed and produced the Foam Book with our customers’ needs in mind,” said Charles Valentine, director of sales and marketing for BaySystems™. “We used our expertise in this industry to assemble a broad range of information that was previously difficult to find in a convenient, educational guide.”
The comprehensive Foam Book features information about the benefits of polyurethane spray foam wall and roof insulation, including the product’s ability to eliminate air leaks, provide moisture and wind resistance, reduce sound transmission and contribute to a healthier structure. For example, using polyurethane spray foam instead of traditional fiberglass batt insulation can help increase a home’s energy efficiency by blocking all six heat transfer methods that cause heat loss. This attribute is particularly noteworthy as energy efficiency becomes a stronger selling point for home builders.
Anyone can obtain a free copy of the Foam Book through their BaySystems™ sales representatives. In addition, customers visiting the Bayer MaterialScience booth (#C4031) at the International Builders’ Show, January 20-23 in Las Vegas, can pick up a CD that contains a downloadable version of the book.
Effective March 1, 2007, Bayer MaterialScience has combined its entire global polyurethane systems business under the umbrella brand of BaySystems™. This change affects not only existing product brands in this segment, but also the global network of polyurethane systems houses.
