BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises LLC Announces Spray Foam Technolgy Training Center
July, 2008— BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises has unveiled their newly renovated Technology Training Center (TTC). Located in Houston, TX, the 3,000 square-foot TTC features a new classroom and a spray lab where students practice proper spray-applied polyurethane foam application. This area offers two separate thermal chambers that allow students to experience the effect of temperature extremes on sprayed polyurethane. In addition, there is a safe room where students can observe the application process without being exposed to overspray.
Since BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises covers such a wide range of spray-applied polyurethane foam materials and uses, the TTC offers training for multiple applications. Students can sign up for courses in Spray Foam Insulation, Spray Foam Roofing, and Foam Mechanics and Materials. The goal is not only to strengthen the skills of those who work directly with the product, but to raise awareness about spray foam technology as well.
The COMFORT FOAM® Residential Insulation course provides a general overview of the insulation materials, application equipment and regulations for residential applications. The detailed Foam Mechanics and Materials program introduces trainees to the chemical process of spray foam application as well as the function of the equipment components. The Insulation course offers an overview of the all insulation products in the BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises lineup. And finally, Roofing covers all aspects of the roofing industry to reflect the evolving marketplace such as wind, hail, fire resistance, insulation calculations, coatings and equipment. All courses are taught by skilled, experienced and committed trainers.
