ACC and SPFA Announce New Panel Session on Spray Polyurethane Foam

ARLINGTON, VA (September 2009) –  CPI and the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance announce the addition of a new spray polyurethane foam critical issues panel discussion at the Polyurethanes 2009 Technical Conference.

The session, titled “The New Era of Spray Polyurethane Foam – Leading the Way in Product Stewardship,” will take place on October 6, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD (Washington, DC area).  With a focus on health and safety issues, it will include industry and agency experts addressing emerging issues in the workplace (application) and topics of interest to consumers and those in the building and construction industry.   

“We expect great interest in this new session,” says Neeva Gayle Candelori, Director, ACC Center for the Polyurethanes Industry.  “As a key contributor to energy efficiency in homes and buildings, spray polyurethane foam is very relevant to our attendees.  We’re looking forward to a dynamic dialogue between industry and agency participants.”

Topics to be discussed include training, hazard communication, and workplace practices for safe handling and use of spray polyurethane foam ingredients.  Innovative technologies and practices to manage onsite exposures such as ventilation containment and personal protective equipment will also be addressed.

A question and answer session with the panel experts will follow the panel presentations.
