2019 ICAA Show Recap

Spray Foam Magazine – Show Issue 2020 – The 2019 ICAA Convention & Trade Show took place during the week of October 10 – 12th at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Attendance at the show was slightly higher than the previous year which indicates a good sign of growth within the industry. The show progressed seamlessly with little-to-no hiccups throughout the duration of the event. As usual, it was a great time to network and learn what’s the latest within the business.

To open the event, ICAA greeted the guests with a welcome reception which was highly attended. This gave everyone a chance to reconnect and also make new acquaintances. The food and wine were well-received amongst the crowd and throughout the weekend many guests took advantage of the beautiful golf course at the resort.

Sandi Day, Marketing & Membership Coordinator for ICAA, remarked on some of the highlights, “The resort was beautiful and the weather was fantastic. The lineup of speakers was incredible this year—particularly Joe Lstiburek, who is an expert on building science, he was a huge hit.” ICAA Convention attendees viewed a trailer for the soon-to-be-released ICAA Gateway Online Training for SPF Helpers. This training will consist of three modules covering the basics of SPF safety training for new employees.

The exhibitors knocked it out of the park as well with engaging booths and great giveaways. Some of the prizes included a set of swivel hose connectors provided by INTEC and a five-gallon pail of LO/MIT-II MAX Spray-On Attic Heat Barrier Coating provided by SOLEC.

The schedule was slightly different this year and the change went over well with the attendees. Michael Kwart, ICAA Executive Director had this to say about the change in hours for the show, “The show hours were transitioned to earlier in the day on Friday. This move was based on feedback from the ICAA Trade Show vendors. Everyone seemed very happy with the Trade Show hours occurring earlier in the day.”

Next year’s show will be hosted in the Windy City, Chicago from October 8 – 10th, 2020 (more details available at www.insulate.org/convention). There is already a lot of hype surrounding this future event so make sure you stay up to date as information is released.
