Center for the Polyurethanes Industry Announces Enhanced Polyurethane Professional Development Program
WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 2, 2016 – The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) announced new and expanded content for three courses included in the 2016 Polyurethanes Professional Development Program (PDP) Presented by the CPI Education Center, the 2016 Polyurethanes PDP features eight courses that provide industry professionals with targeted learning opportunities. The Polyurethanes PDP is part of the 2016 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, taking place September 26-28 in Baltimore, Maryland.
“For more than 10 years, hundreds of professionals have taken advantage of the unmatched learning opportunities that we offer with the Polyurethanes PDP,” said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. “Our 2016 program offers exciting new content, developed over the past year to help provide participants with the latest information relevant to their jobs.”
Three popular PDP courses – PU 101: Polyurethane Chemistry, PU 104A: Polyurethane Adhesives and Sealants, and PU 104B: Polyurethane Elastomers and Coatings – have been updated with new content.
- PU 101 provides a brief background of polyurethane technology and is targeted at industry newcomers and non-technical personnel interested in learning more about the chemistry behind polyurethanes.
- PU 104A reviews the science behind structural and flexible adhesives, sealants and binders. Professionals seeking a more in-depth look into adhesives and sealants should participate in this course.
- PU 104B examines solid and microcellular polyurethane elastomers and polyurethane coatings and is intended for polyurethane industry professionals with technical backgrounds.
All of these courses offer attendees a more case-based learning environment along with real world examples for attendees to examine.
