Spray Foam Used to Create Climate Controlled Environment in Wine Cellar Palm Desert, CA home is the fourth wine room sprayed by Western Pacific Roofing
Spray foam’s unique properties allow it to be used in a variety of applications in addition to standard insulation and roofing. One example of an innovative use of spray foam is to create a climate controlled environment for wine storage. Western Pacific Roofing of Palm Springs, CA has used SPF for this purpose many times before. The video below shows a wine cellar they recently sprayed in a house in Big Horn, an exclusive residential community in Palm Desert, CA. Western Pacific applied 3 ½” of Corbond closed cell spray foam on the walls and lid of the wine room. This was the fourth wine room that they have sprayed for this particular builder, Homme Construction, including one inside a restaurant.
“The builders turn to spray foam insulation for all their wine rooms due to its unique ability to create a climate controlled environment while also providing a vapor barrier,” says Jill Ludvickson of Western Pacific. “We are able to come in and spray the wine room in one day, giving the customer their insulation and vapor barrier all at once.”
